Team of doctors conduct screening of Anganwari children in Mahore

REASI : As part of general health care activities, a team of doctors today conducted screening of children in Anganwari Centres of Mahore Tehsil.

On the direction of Project Officer, ICDS Renu Kumari, the CDPO Mahore Nirja Matoo and BMO Mahore DrAshraf Kohli deputed a team of doctors led by Dr Mohammad Nadeem and Dr. Rajni Langhay visited several Anganwadi centres across Mahore. Team visited Budnarh Arbais, Ramniwag Arabais, Arbais, Lancia Shivras and Chakli for screening of children enrolled in the Anganwadi centres.

The team of doctors screened the children for different ailments like defects at birth, anemia, and deficiency of different nutrients.

During the campaign, the ICDS staff also educated the local women about different schemes being implemented for the healthy and balanced growth and development of children. Awareness was generated among parents regarding poshan Abhiyan and related schemes. Parents and children were apprised of the benefits of health and hygiene in daily life. Awareness regarding covid-19 pandemic was also generated. Parents and children were apprised of Covid-19 protocol and the need to observe Covid SOPs for the benefit of all in the society.
