Team PLUZ ULTRAZ and Team Hustlers win ROV Challenge

 

Aligarh: Team PLUZ ULTRAZ of the Bannari Institute of Technology and Team Hustlers from the Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) were declared joint winners of the Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) Challenge, a national level underwater Robotics Competition of the Marine Technology Society (MTS) and AMU—organised by MTS AUV ZHCET and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Student Sections.

The winners received certificates and cash prizes of Rs 20, 000 each and a one-year free MTS student membership.

BUT-MAL ROV (Bannari Amman Institute of Technology) finished second in the contest with a cash prize of Rs 10, 000, while DTU AUV (Delhi Technical University) received the Andromeidia Wonder Sub Award for the most technically equipped vehicle.

Prof Parvez Mustajab (Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology) distributed prizes to the winners.

Andromeidia officials Sidhant Vajpayee (Founder and CEO), Anuj Batra (Co-Founder), Thomas (Chief Robotics Engineer) and Dr Azhar Jameel from the Department of Mechanical Engineering were the judges.
