Technical University Of Munich Overviews Potentials Of Quantum Technologies For Industry

The one-day course introduces experts and executives to the technologies of quantum sensing, quantum communication, quantum simulation and quantum computing. Participants receive an initial survey without the need for an extensive prior background in physics or mathematics. Course participants will deal in particular with the potentials of quantum technologies in the next five years, thus preparing themselves to become innovators in their respective industry sectors.

Partnership between TUM and LMU
The overview course “Quantum Technologies” is one of the first pilot programs of the joint project “Quantum LifeLong Learning”, conducted by the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU). The course is under the academic supervision of Prof. Alexander Holleitner, Walter Schottky Institute, TUM Chair of Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials and Prof. Jan von Delft, LMU Chair of Theoretical Solid State Physics. The course will take place on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at the TUM research center in Garching near Munich.
