Tehsil level vaccination camps held at Bandipora

Bandipora: On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad, Health Department Bandipora today started a massive Covid vaccination drive/campaign across the district.

In order to control the spread of Covid-19 pandemic in the district, the department of health started a mass vaccination campaign by organising Tehsil Level camps across the district. As many as 30 vaccination sites have already been identified at different places across the district which shall act as vaccination centres.

A large number of employees working as Front Line workers in various departments including Revenue, Rural Development Department, ICDS, PRIs, Asha workers and Aaganwari workers were vaccinated. General public was also vaccinated during the drive. People belonging to the age group of above 60 years were given priority in the first go.

On the occasion, Nodal Officer Vaccination Mehraj Wani, Dy CMO Dr Parvaiza, District Immunization Officer Dr Parvaiz, District Mass Education and Information Officer Abdul Hameed Beigh besides doctors and paramedical staff were also present.
