Tel Aviv University announces M.A. in Cyber Politics and Government
New Delhi: Offered by Tel Aviv University – one of the global centers of cyber leadership, the M.A. in Cyber Politics and Government is a new graduate program for 2021-22. The program bridges strategic governance and policy with technology and is designed to help students gain the critical tools for developing strategic planning, management, and leadership in the challenging era of big data, cyber threats and new evolving technologies.
Headed by Professor EviatarMatania, founder and former Director General of the Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD), the program helps students gather the necessary understanding of cyber challenges from a societal, governmental, corporate, and organizational perspective and therefore make educated decisions in risk management, compliance, budget, reputation, policy and strategy. It offers subjects ranging from the influence on modern-day elections to big data economy, policy-making and strategic planning, and equips students with a vast knowledge about the field of cyber security – a need of every profession today.
This cutting-edge M.A. program seeks to equip future leaders with the necessary skills needed for cyber security field; to educate the next generation of executives and policymakers to be able to lead organizations in the cyber era; to equip the next generation for an auto-didact studying capacity in a changing cyber world; and to develop the strategic capacity to develop policy and to lead societies in the cyber era.
Eligibility for Indian students
The program is open to everyone with a bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited institution of higher education. The students are required to have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or 80 on a 100 scale.

Program delivery
The taught-in-English program will be offered under hybrid mode during the year of 2020/21. Under this mode, the students will be able to attend the courses in-classroom as well as participate via Zoom.
Duration
Conducted from October to August, the graduate program is a 3 semester (10 month) program with the third semester (summer) running for 7 weeks.
