Telangana To Upgrade 65 ITIs Into Advanced Technology Centers In Rs 2,300 Crore Initiative With Tata Technologies

Telangana State Government has taken up a project to upgrade the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) into Advanced Technology Centers (ATCs) to make the students job-ready. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for the new advanced technology centres at the ITI Mallepally campus in Hyderabad yesterday. The project is aimed at upgrading 65 ITIs into ATCs. The state government in a joint effort with Tata Technologies Limited (TTL), marks a significant step towards enhancing skill development and meeting the evolving demands of the industry. The Chief Minister’s office in a release said the cost of the project to convert ITIs into ATCs will be over 2 thousand 3 hundred crore rupees. The state government will contribute over 300 crore rupees while the TTL’s share will be over 2016 crore rupees. The project has been taken up under a 10-year Memorandum of Understanding with TTL to upgrade 65 ITIs as ATCs in the state.
