Telemed Services at JNMC

Aligarh: Various departments of the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University are carrying out telemedicine services for patients suffering with non-Covid medical ailments through received calls on designated phone numbers.

They are Neurosurgery (Phone: 7455041631), Surgery (Phone: 7455041632), Psychiatry (Phone: 7455041633), Orthopaedic Surgery (Phone: 7455041634), Dermatology (Phone: 7455041635), RG Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology (Phone: 7455041636), Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Phone: 7455041637), Institute of Ophthalmology (Phone: 7455041638), Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery (Phone: 7455041639), Radiotherapy (Phone: 7455041640), Medicine (Phone: 7455030641), Paediatric Surgery (Phone: 7455030642), ENT (Phone: 7455021650), Paediatrics (Phone: 7455021651), TB and RD (Phone: 7455021652), Plastic Surgery (Phone: 7455021653) and Pain Clinic- Anaesthesiology (Phone: 7455021654).

“The Covid19 pandemic may be the impetus for adopting telehealth services and integrate them into existing health systems at JNMC, but our telemedicine services are becoming an efficient way for providing people with remote access to quality healthcare services without increasing the risk of infection,” said Prof Shahid Ali Siddiqui (Principal, JNMC).

Prof Haris M Khan (Medical Superintendent) added that since the coronavirus outbreak, the telemedicine services at JNMC have come to the rescue of patients by providing them with the access to healthcare experts.

Meanwhile, JNMC has so far tested over 70, 000 cumulative number of samples for Covid19 detection with a daily testing capacity of 900 samples.
