Texas A&M: Aggie Greek Awards Recognize Outstanding Aggies
The Texas A&M University Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life hosted the 11th Annual Aggie Greek Awards at the Association of Former Students earlier this spring, recognizing chapters, their student leaders, advisors and former students for their accomplishments throughout 2022.
The awards included:
Twelve chapter awards
Eight individual awards
One President’s Award for Outstanding Greek Ambassador, which includes a $1,000 scholarship
Eight Academic Achievement Awards sponsored by Order of Omega Greek honor society to recognize chapters from each of the four governing councils in achieving the highest grade point ratios (GPR) from the previous spring and fall semesters.

Chapter Awards
Integrity Award
The Integrity Award honors a chapter that did not stray, even if the path they chose instead was more difficult — this group of Aggies could have taken the easy path but instead upheld the Aggie Code of Honor with respect. This chapter is honored as a role model for upholding the high ethical standard which Texas A&M expects of all its students.
Zeta Tau Alpha
Leadership Award
The Leadership Award recognizes a chapter whose leadership has impacted, transformed and improved fraternity and sorority life at Texas A&M University. This chapter embodies the Aggie core value of leadership and uses their ability to empower and inspire others.
Chi Omega
Loyalty Award
The Loyalty Award is presented to a chapter that bears a moral character that aligns with its fraternal values and empowers its members to be ambassadors of the Aggie Network—true to each other as Aggies can be.
Alpha Delta Pi
Respect Award
The Respect Award is presented to a chapter that demonstrates unwavering regard and support for Texas A&M University, its mission and values. This group has earned respect by their appropriate use of powers and privileges, thereby promoting the merits and accomplishments of the fraternity and sorority community. The organization is highly regarded by other chapters for demonstrating a friendly and caring attitude towards others.
Alpha Chi Omega
Selfless Service Award
The Selfless Service Award is presented to a chapter that has demonstrated selfless service above and beyond the expected chapter philanthropies. This group has shown dedication to the betterment of others to have a significant impact on the community.
Alpha Epsilon Phi
Excellence Awards
The Excellence Award is given to those organizations that show outstanding merit—it is presented to one sorority and one fraternity. Winners show a commitment to upholding superior standards by maintaining a high chapter GPR, recruiting outstanding new members, or making a tangible difference in the community. The awarded chapters show that their organization upholds the values of excellence upon which Texas A&M was founded and makes them stand out above the rest.
Kappa Alpha Theta & Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc.
Outstanding Community Relations Award
The Outstanding Community Relations Award is presented to a chapter that achieves excellence in the areas of public relations, campus organization involvement, campus leadership, considerable involvement off campus and innovative outreach to former students.
Alpha Epsilon Phi
Chapters of the Year
Awarded to the Chapter of the Year in each council: IFC, CPC, NPHC, and MGC. Winners are determined by each council.

Rising Star Awards
Rising Star Awards are intended to recognize an emerging leader from each of the four councils in the Aggie Greek community whose record reflects ongoing and exceptional growth in contribution to their chapter and their council, and increased levels of leadership and responsibility.

Aggie Greek Unsung Hero
The Aggie Greek Unsung Hero is an award that recognizes a faculty or staff member, affiliated or not, who has supported the Aggie Greek community in an extraordinary way. This individual is not a chapter advisor, yet has demonstrated a commitment to supporting and/or enhancing the fraternal experience at Texas A&M University.

Advisors of the Year
The Texas A&M Fraternity Advisor of the Year and Sorority Advisor of the Year Awards recognize advisors for their extraordinary commitment to mentoring and guiding members of the Aggie Greek Community. These individuals carry out the Aggie core value of selfless service so that their students can flourish and succeed. These awards honor advisors whose dedication goes beyond what is required by the university in order to better serve students.

The award honors a current student who is a role model within his fraternity and a respected leader in the community, has a strong academic record, and pledges to live their lives similar to their fraternal values.

Merita S. ’86 and Stephen G. ’88 Parker Sorority Woman of the Year
The Sorority Woman of the Year is presented to a woman who has made a significant impact on her chapter, the fraternity and sorority community and Texas A&M University. The award honors a current student who is a role model within her sorority and a respected leader in the community, has a strong academic record, and pledges to live their lives similar to their fraternal values.
Summer Conkling ‘24, Alpha Chi Omega
President’s Award for Outstanding Greek Ambassador
The President’s Award for Outstanding Greek Ambassador is given to a fraternity or sorority man or woman who not only has maintained high academic achievement but has also served as an outstanding ambassador for the fraternity and sorority community at Texas A&M University. The individual who receives this award embodies all Aggie core values and is an excellent example of philanthropy, campus involvement, service, educational achievement, and leadership to their chapter. This award recipient will also receive a $1,000 scholarship.

On behalf of the Greek community, the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life would like to thank the Greek Former Student Network and The Association of Former Students for organizing and sponsoring the 2023 Aggie Greek Awards Reception.
Fraternities and sororities are a fundamental part of Texas A&M, home to 58 nationally- and internationally-affiliated and local Greek-lettered organizations, which collectively constitute the largest member-based and multi-faceted community on campus. Representing 10% of the undergraduate student population, fraternity and sorority members are committed to their academics, developing and strengthening their leadership skills, volunteering time in the community, and continually forming a campus and cultural support network for current and incoming Aggies. Fraternities and sororities have enhanced the lives of more than 22,500 Aggies since their inception.
