Texas A&M: Texas A&M Transportation Services Guides Fans To – And Through – Football Gameday
Texas A&M University Transportation Services has compiled a comprehensive collection of gameday traffic, parking and pedestrian information to help football fans stay on track and on time as they navigate Aggieland this fall.
The guide is available on the Transportation Services Football Gameday webpage and on Destination Aggieland.
“We are excited for everyone to come to campus and have made enhancements and adjustments to our services to provide best experience possible for our fans,” said Peter Lange, associate vice president of Texas A&M Transportation Services. “We ask fans to plan ahead so they know what to expect and to avoid congestion and road closures.”
Virtual Parking Permits Replace Hangtags
Texas A&M Transportation Services has transitioned to virtual parking permits and away from traditional hangtags. Customers with valid Texas A&M permits who wish to park on campus for football gamedays may continue to do so as in previous seasons.
Since there are no more hangtags, customers must have their permit barcode information on their smart phones or printed on paper and ready to present when they drive up to the cashier at the entrance of the event parking lot. Customers can find their permit barcode and license plate information by visiting transport.tamu.edu and logging into My Account. Once logged in, scroll to the bottom of the home page to see the barcode information.
Fans are advised to ensure the license plate linked to their permits match the vehicle they plan to drive to the game, arrive early and expect longer lines at lot entrances than normal as both permit holders and cashiers adapt to this new process.

Tailgating Locations Modified Due To Aggie Park Closure
Aggie Park is being redeveloped and will be closed for the duration of the 2021 football season. Fans desiring to tailgate this year should visit the Texas A&M Tailgating site for available locations or consider some farther away parking areas with bus service to the stadium and great grassy areas: Lots 47, 50 and 51; Lots 18, 73 and 98; and Lots 110, 113 and Fan Field.
Shared Mobility Services Improved, Expanded
Fans have the ability to navigate campus using the Veo bike share service. Simply download the Veo app to unlock any Veo bicycle and begin riding.
New to campus this year are Veo Cosmos, which are pedal-free electric bikes. Fans opting to ride a Cosmo should be aware that speeds are limited in densely populated areas and the bikes will throttle down for safety when approaching these areas. Ride to the game and drop your Veo at one of the three zones designated in Destination Aggieland.
Areas of campus near the stadium are designated as No Wheels Zones on gamedays to protect pedestrians. Riders are asked to avoid these areas or dismount when passing through them.
Rideshare and taxi services will be available during and after the game in Lot 30e and curbside at designated locations. For details, check the Football Gameday webpage on the Transportation Services website or in the “rideshare” section under the “football” tab in the Destination Aggieland app.
Road Closures And Traffic
Pre-game road closures begin either four hours pre-game or at 8 a.m., whichever is later. Additional road closures begin near the start of the fourth quarter in preparation for post-game traffic.
Transportation Services asks those in the community not planning to attend the game to avoid driving on Wellborn Road and George Bush Drive, as increased traffic is expected.
Destination Aggieland Now Available In Texas A&M App
Destination Aggieland, now in the Texas A&M mobile app, is the best resource for year-round event information and gameday event planning. Use Destination Aggieland to learn about pre- and post-game traffic and parking information, reserving and paying for parking, shuttle routes, and more.
Free Shuttle Service
Gameday shuttles operate on and off campus beginning three hours pregame through one hour postgame. Shuttle routes and real-time shuttle locations can be accessed through the Texas A&M mobile app.
The Downtown Bryan gameday shuttle is the only park-and-ride shuttle on gamedays and operates three hours pregame to one hour postgame with service provided throughout the game. Fans can board the free shuttle from Regent Street across from the Clara B. Mounce Public Library for service directly to Kyle Field.
