The 11th Outdoor Skills Competition held by MAPKU

New Delhi: Peking University, April 10, 2018: The Mountaineering Association of Peking University (MAPKU) held the 11th Outdoor Skills Competition from April 7 to 8, 2018.

On the morning of the April 7th, Luo Shen, the Chinese Mountaineering Association’s Rock and Ice Climbing Minister, Sun Bin, a PKU alumnus and former member of MAPKU, and Liang Junyun, the head of MAPKU spoke at the opening ceremony of the competition. They cheered for the athletes present and expressed their wishes for the success of the competition.

After the teams gathered and warmed up, they started the competitive events of the first day: rock climbing, bouldering, rope skills, and three-person climbing ladders. All the events were held at the Climbing Wall on the north shore of Weiming Lake.
