Mumbai: The Aditya Birla Integrated School (TABIS), which specializes in education for students with learning difficulties, has been approved by Cambridge Assessment International Education to offer its world-leading Cambridge programme. After six successful years of creating confident, balanced and independent learners, TABIS has introduced the Cambridge Secondary curriculum aimed at strengthening overall exposure and enable all-round development for students with learning difficulties from Academic Year 2021-22.
The Cambridge programme for students aged 11 to 16 is made up of two stages – Lower Secondary & Upper Secondary. Each stage combines a world-class curriculum, high-quality support for teachers and integrated assessment. Cambridge Upper Secondary leads to Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education), the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds. The Cambridge programme is a progressive and flexible programme which gives students improved exposure to international perspective of studies. With this curriculum, students gain a variety of skills including logic and thought processing, soft skills development by working together in various groups, project-based learning and application of knowledge in a creative manner. To monitor progress and ensure real-time improvements, students are regularly evaluated through assessments, group discussions, oral units of inquiry, revision, homework and individualized problem-solving.
Committed to nurturing all-round development, TABIS involves students in various co-curricular activities developing their social, leadership skills and self-confidence. An array of co-curricular activities like music, art, dance, movement, theatre, dramatics, chess, robotics program, fitness program, curiosity gym, games, book club and sport programs along with therapeutic interventions are available for students. Each child is integrated after a detailed Psycho-Educational Evaluation and assessment by the school’s clinical psychologist and special educators of the admissions team. A specific section or grade is chosen to place the student depending on his/her learning ability to enable optimal benefits from the program.
Mrs. Neerja Birla, Founder and Chairperson, Aditya Birla Education Trust, said “At The Aditya Birla Integrated School, our commitment is to provide holistic and personalized environment to inspire potential in every child.
