The Aligarh Muslim University has planned several new facilities for international students
Aligarh: Separate hostels for male and female international students are on the anvil. It will be dedicated only to foreign students. Help Desk to facilitate these international students will be strengthened. Proper facilities for their counseling and guidance will also be incorporated. It is being planned that international students get the facilities at ease so that they can devote their time to their studies.
Foreign students are ambassadors of the University and they will be provided with the best facilities available in the institution.
Presently, the University has 178 international students which includes 76 females and 102 male students. Another 380 students are studying in the Centre for Distance and Online Education of the University.
Major countries include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Beninese, Djibouti, Iran, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordon, Lesotho, Mauritius, Nepal, South Korea, Sudan, Somalia, Thailand, USA, Yemen, Ghana, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Somalia and Uganda.
