The competition of research works on the history of the Great Patriotic War has ended
More than 20 works on history from all over Karelia were sent to the organizers.
The student business incubator and the Institute of History, Political and Social Sciences of Petrozavodsk State University with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs within the framework of the project “Memory of Heroic Deeds by the Hands of Youth. The Karelian Front” held a research competition among the youth of the Republic of Karelia “The Great Patriotic War in my Region “.
The competition was held in a remote format. The reports in the field of history and local history related to the theme of the Great Patriotic War were accepted for participation.
In total, more than 20 research papers were submitted to the competition, which were evaluated by a qualified jury. The jury consisted of Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Verigin Sergei Gennadievich and Doctor of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Russian History Oleg Igorevich Kulagin.
The works were evaluated according to several criteria: relevance, scientific novelty, and others.
According to the results of the assessment, participants were determined who took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
The winners are:
Alexey Kartunen (“Street named after the hero FS Ganichev”).
Moroz Asya (“A trace of the Great Patriotic War in the history of my family”).
Kokacheva Ekaterina (“Unknown pages of the history of the Vidlitsky airfield”).
A separate prize was established by the Student Business Incubator for the youngest participants of the competition: Rizaeva Diana and Klepikova Victoria (“Heroes of the Soviet Union who died in our area”), the guys have good potential for studying local history and history,- said the members of the jury.
All participants will receive certificates, the winners will receive gifts, and the best reports will be published in the official group of the Student Business Incubator on the VKontakte social network with the preservation of authorship.
