Gyalshing: The Coordination Meeting amongst school heads of West District organised by Education Department in collaboration with District Collectorate. was held at the Community Hall, Gyalshing, West Sikkim.
The meeting was chaired by Shri Karma R. Bonpo, DC West along with Shri. Karma C. Gyatso, Additional Director, (Education); Shri P. L. Subba, Deputy Director (Education); Dr. Anusha Lama, C.M.O. West; Principals and teachers of West District.

Shri Karma R. Bonpo in his address to the gathering talked about the Aspirational District Plans to improve the quality of education. He also urged to cultivate and motivate good leadership among each and every schools. He also stressed on the importance of having good leadership. He mentioned the planning to send 50 teachers to Delhi to learn about the education policies and practices. He also appealed to make english speaking compulsory in each and every schools. He also highlighted the free internet connection, smart classes, clean toilets in every schools and modern schools in each and every constituency.

Dr. Anusha Lama gave an awareness on Corona Virus. She highlighted about the disease, signs and symptoms, precautions, the do’s and don’ts and the global scenario. Lastly, she requested school heads to convey the same to their students as well in order to curb the spread of the virus.
