The Design Village Hosts Interdisciplinary Design Workshop in Collaboration with RoWin’Atelier Architecte (Paris)

Aimed to explore the intersection of design, craftsmanship, and sustainability in the contemporary context TDV (The Design Village) organized an interdisciplinary design workshop titled “Craftspeople of the Future, for their students in collaboration with RoWin’Atelier Architecte (Paris).

Hervé and Frédéric, an experienced interior and object designer from RoWin’Atelier Architecte, visited the campus of the TDV. The workshop provided a unique opportunity for students to engage with industry experts and gain insights into innovative design practices.

Frédéric expressed “It is always a pleasure to show how we work. We take a more collaborative approach, although not having the necessary skills is sometimes a problem but is also very playful. It’s like we are exchanging between the two sides of one piece. This school, even by the way it is built, teaches how to approach building something, how to bring something to the future, and how to build a community. So, I think The Design Village is now a part of me.”

The interdisciplinary workshop concluded with a one-on-one interactive session on the future of design, experimenting with new techniques, and pushing the boundaries of creativity. Through hands-on activities, lectures, and interactive sessions, participants gained a deeper understanding of the role of craftsmanship in shaping the future of design.
