The Design Village, India and Sheffield Hallam University, UK, Enter Into MoU for Academic Exchange

The Design Village (TDV), India, and Sheffield School of Design, UK, have officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster collaborative efforts in the realm of design education and research.

The MoU sets the groundwork for potential joint initiatives including but not limited to joint research, staff, and student exchange programs, joint development of programs, along with other academic and scholarly endeavors. The primary objective of this MoU is to facilitate initial discussions and exploration in good faith, with both institutions seeking to ascertain the suitability of pursuing the proposed activities.

Speaking about the formal association between TDV and Sheffield Hallam University, Mudita Pasari, Academic Dean, TDV said, “Such initiatives empower learners with a comprehensive and transformative educational experience. Sheffield Hallam shares so many values with The Design Village as an institute, that we feel exhilarated to provide this opportunity to our learners to engage in interdisciplinary learning, and build global networks. Having visited a part of their campus at the Head Post Office, our synergies were visible from the adaptive reuse of the building to the nuances of the curriculum being delivered.”

Both parties are optimistic about the prospects of this collaboration, foreseeing a synergistic relationship that will advance in the field of design education and research.
