It was very interesting to participate in the quiz. In search of the correct answers to the questions, we studied the literature recommended by the staff of the Scientific Library of PetrSU. Our goal was not only to correctly answer the questions of the quiz, but also to find out more facts about the conquest of space by man, about the first flight of Yuri Gagarin into space, and get acquainted with the biography of the cosmonaut.
Leading librarian of the subscription of scientific and fiction literature of the Scientific Library of PetrSU I.L. Avdeeva, who made up the questions for the quiz, said:
The participants demonstrated their erudition, the ability to work with various sources of information, skills in the design of text materials, photographs, bibliographic lists of used literature and web addresses of sites. The students gave correct and extended answers to most of the questions about the facts of the biography of the pilot-cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin, but the decisive question in determining the winners was: “What was the name of the cadets from the first cosmonaut corps in the flight camp?”
The answers were different: “astronauts-listeners”, “excellent human specimens”, “stellar brotherhood”. The correct answer can be found in various sources, including the book by Lev Danilkin “Yuri Gagarin” (The Life of Remarkable People).
