The Madras Quiz is back offline this year

Chennai: The Madras Quiz, a well-known fixture of the Madras week celebrations, is back in-person after a gap of two years. The quiz will be held at the Madras Management Association (MMA) auditorium, Anna Salai, on Sunday, August 28, 2022, from 2 PM onwards. During the pandemic-induced lockdowns, two consecutive editions of the Madras Quiz were held online.
The quiz will be hosted by well-known quizmaster Dr Sumanth C Raman.
The quiz is open to all ages and people can participate in teams of two. There is no entry fee or prior registration. The winners stand to receive vouchers worth ₹50,000, while there are special prizes for teams of senior citizens, women and school students.
The event will begin with a preliminary round of written answers. Top teams will be chosen for an onstage final. The theme for this edition is “All things Madras” and as always, the quiz will be loaded with fun, exciting questions and knowledge on Madras and its heritage.
