The Scindia School brass band further consolidates its enviable legacy with every stride at the 74th Republic Day parade
An impressive contingent of 45 Students from The Scindia School, Gwalior, represented the school in the 74th Republic Day parade. With every confident stride, the students have successfully taken the school’s unmatched legacy a notch higher. After its debut at the parade in 1973, The Scindia School brass band has regularly featured at the Republic Day parade ever since.
Mr Ajay Singh, Principal, The Scindia School beamed with pride as he shared, “This year The Scindia School brass band was combined with the BBVP Pilani band and was led by Band Major Senior Under Officer Abhishek Chauhan of The Scindia School. The band has been marching on Kartavyapath since 2005. The band has also offered several Guard of Honour displays to various dignitaries. This year the band performed before the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, and at the National War Memorial. The band also participates in the Prime Minister’s rally every year. We are extremely proud of our brass band and all that it has achieved and continues to achieve every year. The dedication and discipline of the students participating in the parade, is a testament to the values that we at The Scindia School live by every single day.”
The Scindia School is recognized across all the schools to have the most extraordinary brass band. For its consistent exemplary performance in Republic Day Parade, the school brass band was also awarded the NCC Director General Commendation card in 2020 by Group Commander Colonel N. Romeo Singh of 8 MP Bn of NCC.
