The Shriram Millennium School, Gurugram dedicated their Founder’s Day to Mahatma

Gurugram: The Shriram Millennium School, Gurugram celebrated their second Founder’s Day by paying a tribute to the Father of the Nation, commemorating his 150th birth anniversary. On the occasion students shed light on the life of Mahatma Gandhi and his principles of non-violence, truth and forgiveness.

Actions and Principles of the Mahatma are inspirational and have been instrumental in motivating the children of today. Mahatma through his actions taught the lessons of sensitivity, integrity, striving for excellence in one’s life and taking Pride in one’s Heritage. People mattered to him and he was a man of his words. He did spend most of his life excelling in what he truly believed in, Ahimsa & Satyagrah. In his quest to never forget his roots and take pride in one’s own Heritage, he spearheaded the Khadi & Salt movements. Students of The Shriram Millennium Schools, are familiarized with these values, not as something that they must learn but as something they must feel.

The students put together a wonderful show depicting the life of Gandhi and his principles, promising to imbibe the true spirit of the Mahatma. They inspired the audience with messages from the life of Bapu and the relevance of his teachings in today’s scenario. All the learning over the year about the contributions Gandhi made to India’s freedom struggle and the innumerable lessons of life that he left behind were aptly presented. The orchestra and choir, along with the captivating dance performances had everyone applauding and enjoying the special day.
