The Symphony of Spring: POSTECH’s Nature’s Melody Echoes Across Campus
The Division of Humanities and Social Sciences at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) welcomes the appointment of the globally acclaimed maestro Nanse Gum as an Honors Professor. His tenure commenced on March 1 of this year and will continue until February 28, 2027.
POSTECH’s decision to recruit Maestro Gum as an Honors Professor underscores its commitment to providing students with top-tier arts education. Beyond academia, the university plans to curate a vibrant array of events and performances, not only for its members but also for the broader community of Pohang.
Since 2007, POSTECH has been hosting a variety of cultural programs featuring Maestro Gum, including the ‘POSTECH Summer Classical Concert with Maestro Nanse Gum’ and the ‘Maestro Nanse Gum Cultural Program’. Notably, the Maestro and his orchestra have graced the stage at prestigious events such as POSTECH’s 30th-anniversary celebrations and commencement ceremonies, captivating audience from both within the university and across Pohang.
