The Vedica Scholars Programme for Women gears up to welcome the 6th cohort of its flagship PG Programme in ‘Management Practice and Leadership’ from 1st September 2020

New Delhi: The Vedica Scholar Programme for Women today announces the commencement of its latest cohort for its ‘Management Practice and Leadership Programme’ on 1st September 2020. In light of the ongoing pandemic, the batch will commence in September with an online induction model followed by a hybrid model from October till December, and in-person classes January 2021 onwards. Vedica has issued detailed COVID guidelines to ensure safety of students on campus and hostel. An innovative approach, showcasing its commitment towards ensuring the authenticity of the educational experience to each student has been envisioned.

The programme will start with an Online Induction in September, planned as a dynamic and engaging virtual experience. It is intended to introduce students to the strong culture, new normal, learning methodologies of the programme. Students will also go through a digital management course to prepare for the new generation of workforces. The induction is aimed to prime students to make most of their 18-months at Vedica.

Vedica is upgrading its digital infrastructure to ensure a quality learning experience for students who decide to attend the programme online between Oct-Dec. Each student, whether physically on campus or attending classes remotely, will have access to all the resources including the faculty, teaching assistants, career development cell, mentors, and campus counsellor for mental health support. Keeping in mind the importance of classroom learning, Vedica has decided to extend their graduation of the Class of 2021 to February 2022 – adding an entire month to the programme duration with additional experiential learning opportunities.

The academic programme will begin on campus with the in-class Orientation on October 1. Apart from the absence of an application fee, each admitted student receives the Vedica Bursary of INR 2.75 lakhs. Vedica’s current admission cycle has received a great response from students from diverse educational backgrounds. To give a better perspective, 38% of students come from Arts background; 32% from engineering; 19% from Commerce and 11% from Sciences, Law, Design & Architecture. Having outperformed all previous cycles, the current cycle registered a hike of 60% in the number of applications. 59% of the applicants are from North India; 14% from South; 10% from Central India; 9% from the East; 5% from West, and 3% from the Northeast.

The placement strategy has been refined through analysing and identifying future sectors poised for rapid growth. Scholars from previous cohorts have been successfully placed across a vast spectrum of roles and industries. The list of recruiters includes globally renowned organisations such as Google, Nestlé, KPMG, TATA Trusts, Deloitte, Axis Bank, Airtel Payments Bank, OYO and many more.

Eligibility: Both freshers and candidates with work experience can apply. An undergraduate

degree is compulsory (final year students are eligible to apply as well)
