2022 will be a year of revolution for Formula 1 as new regulations are in place that will change the cars used by drivers. While a lot of uncertainty still exists and nobody knows what the teams are going to be able to put on the starting grid, there are some things we do know.

The current Formula 1 regulations have fuel using fuel with 5.75% bio-components. There is also extra work being done to add fully sustainable fuel. With 2022 cars, the ratio of bio-component has risen to 10%. This will happen through the use of E10 fuel, with “10” hinting at the mixture percentage.
What is interesting is that the ethanol used has to be second-generation and made sustainably. This moves the carbon footprint close to zero.
