Three AMU Students get Fulbright Scholarship

Aligarh: Three students of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) have been selected for Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Programme for the session 2020-21.

Dr Eram Shaheen Ansari (University of North Carolina, USA), Ms Annie Jones (University of Texas Austin, USA), and Mr Abdul Sabur Kidwai (University of Georgia Athens, USA) have been selected for this nine-month cultural exchange programme. The programme is sponsored by the United States Department of State Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs (ECA), and will run from August 2020 to May 2021.

These students received guidance and mentoring by Dr Sadaf Husain and Dr Asjad Husain at the AMU-UGC Human Resource Development Centre, under the Directorship of Professor ARKidwai.

The AMU has produced over a dozen Fulbright FLTA students at various US universities, with Dr Shehnoor Shan returning recently this year after completing her term as FLTA at the University of Texas Austin, USA.
