Three JMI Research Scholars crack UPPSC Examination, selected for the post of Unani Medical Officer

Three PhD scholars (Unani Medicine) from the Department of Biotechnology, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), have been selected for the post of Unani Medical Officer through an all India level selection examination conducted by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) Prayagraj during October 13-16, 2020. These Medical Officers will work as Doctors in CGHS Dispensaries and as Research Officer under Ministry of AYUSH.
These scholars have pursued their PhD in areas of modern molecular biology and diagnostics in the Department of Biotechnology, JMI after completing MD in Unani Medicine from different universities as part of MOU between CCRUM and JMI.
Dr. Zaki Ahmad Siddiqui, secured 4th rank, Dr. Najmuddin Ahmad Siddiqui, secured 11th rank and Dr. Mohammad Zakir Siddiqui, secured 47th rank in the merit list.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar expressed her happiness and congratulated the selected candidates. She said that it is a matter of great pride and satisfaction for the university.
Department of Biotechnology also praise the work and dedication of the mentors of these students whose continuous guidance and motivation helped them in their overall development.
