Thrilling Victory for STS School in G-20 Cricket Open Tournament

 

Aligarh : STS School (Minto Circle), Aligarh Muslim University grabbed the winner’s trophy and championship in G-20 Cricket Open Tournament by defeating the Department of Physical Education Cricket Academy by 4 runs. The tournament was organized by Aligarh College of Education and Aligarh College of Engineering and Management.

Batting first, STS School started their innings with confidence, putting up a competitive total of 128 runs in 14 overs. Master Daksh Pratap Singh and Master Arsheel scored 40 and 22 runs respectively. It was a tense battle between the bat and ball as the opposition tried to reach the target, but it fell short by 4 runs.

Master Amir Ali received the man of the match award for his outstanding performance. He took 3 wickets and conceded just 10 runs in 3 overs.

Mr. Mohd Adnan Khan was adjudged the ‘Man of the series’ for his exceptional batting display. He took 8 wickets and scored 52 runs in 2 innings.

STS School’s triumph in the G-20 Cricket Open Tournament was a testament to their skills and determination.

Mr. Faisal Nafis, Principal, STS School celebrated the achievements of the talented cricketers who had brought glory to the school. He acknowledged the significance of sports in a student’s life, which nurtures discipline, teamwork and leadership skills also.

Mr Nafis distributed certificates, medals, and the championship trophy to the players. He also congratulated the sports teachers, Mr. Mohd Adnan Khan, Mr. Mohammad Asim and Dr. Zeeshan Haider, for properly guiding the students.

Mr. Mohd Adnan Khan and Mr. Farhan Habib exhorted the students to excel in their performances.
