Tobacco free Educational Institutions campaign
Aligarh : BA students Fatima Afzal and Laiba Noor were the respective winners of the poster-making and slogan-writing competitions held to observe the Tobacco free Educational Institutions (ToFEI) campaign under the Union Health Ministry at the Women’s College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
Shaheen Aara stood second in the poster-making contest, while Umama Aslam was the runner-up of the slogan-writing.
“The stark imagery and hard-hitting health facts highlighted in these posters and slogans raise awareness on how smoking harms nearly every part of the human body and urge tobacco addicts to quit the habit immediately”, said Prof Naima Khatoon (Principal, Women’s College).
Dr Shagufta Niyaz and Dr Sadaf Fareed were in the organising committee.
