Tohoku University To Hold Its Commencement Ceremony 2023

All graduating students are invited to attend their commencement ceremony in person at Xebio Arena Sendai on March 24.

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to facilitate safe physical distancing at the ceremony, only graduating students will be allowed to attend. Family and friends are asked to show their support by watching the live broadcast online.

All attendees should be appropriately dressed for the ceremony and must adhere to the university’s coronavirus infection prevention measures, such as wearing a mask.

Students should not attend the ceremony if they are unwell, have a fever or have been exposed to someone who is positive for COVID-19. Anyone requiring special arrangements or assistance should contact the Academic Affairs Section of their faculty or graduate school before March.

As with all best-laid plans, these might change depending on the pandemic situation in Miyagi prefecture, so please be prepared for updates closer to the time and check the university’s websites regularly.
