The 2021 Tokyo Tech Spring Entrance Ceremony was held on April 5, 2021 at Ookayama Campus. Unlike in past years, one joint ceremony with limited participants was held for all new students due to the effects of COVID-19.
This spring, 1,151 bachelor’s program students, 1,618 master’s program students, 35 professional master’s program students, and 247 doctoral program students were admitted to the Institute. Of these students, 288 joined Tokyo Tech from abroad.

Student participants included one main representative and one student from each of Tokyo Tech’s six Schools at the bachelor’s level, one student representing master’s and doctoral students, and one student from each School at the master’s, professional master’s, and doctoral levels.
During his welcome address, Masu highlighted Tokyo Tech’s efforts to provide students with a blended learning and research environment that focuses on wellbeing, and invited them to make full use of the new facilities at the Institute. “Don’t forget to take in the beauty, tranquility, and history of our campuses,” he added.
