Tourism Directorate organises Mata Ka Jagran under Iconic Week Festival at Mahamaya & Kol Kandoli Temples

 

JAMMU : As a part of ongoing Iconic Week Festivals being organised by Government of Jammu and Kashmir to give a push to tourism activities across the UT, Directorate of Tourism, in collaboration with Divisional and district administration Jammu, today organised Mata Ka Jagran at Mahamaya Temple and Kol Kandoli temple Nagrota.

Hundreds of devotees from local areas participated in the Jagran at Mahamaya and Kol Kandoli temples and took the blessings of the Mata.

The atmosphere of Jagran premises was charged with devotion and the devotees offered prayers for the well being of their families and peace in the Union Territory.

The Mata Ka Jagran witnessed recital of bajans by artists and singers, inducing a spiritual and religious fervor among the devotees who came in large numbers to attend the congregation.

Earlier, the Jagran started with the Arti by Pujari at both the religious places.

Among others, Mayor Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta; Ex-Minister Priya Sethi, and others were present at Mahamaya Temple.

Meanwhile, ACG Jammu Rakesh Dubey, Deputy Director Tourism Amar Jyoti Raina, Field Publicity Officer, Information Mukesh Kumar Sharma, senior functionaries of Tourism and a large number of locals besides DDC Member Nagrota Joginder Singh, DDC member Dansal Shameem Begum, BDC chairman Ch. Rehmat Ali and others were present at Kol Kondoli Temple.
