Towards building an Atmanirbhar Bharat: PHDCCI holds its Annual Excellence Awards online
New Delhi: Amidst the pandemic, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) held its Annual Excellence Awards online. This was PHDCCI’s 115th Annual Session, where the theme was ‘Building Aatmanirbhar Bharat’. Chief Guest, General (Dr) VK Singh (Retd), PVSM, AVSM, YSM, ADC and the President, PHD Chamber, Dr DK Aggarwal awarded 6 businesses/ entrepreneurs/ individuals for their outstanding work in select areas and to promote corporate and individual initiatives in economic, social and educational areas.
In his address, General (Dr.) V K Singh said, “Excellence, quality and ease of doing business form the foundations for Atmanirbhar Bharat. With a strong foundation, India can tap into filling gaps in Chinese market supply, where volumes and global reach is high, yet the quality is not sustainable.”

On receiving the Award for Excellence for Start up, Deep Bajaj CEO and Founder of Sirona said, “PHD Annual Awards are one of the most coveted ones in Business Circles that are decided after several levels of meticulous screening and assessment. Dr Aggarwal, President, PHDCCI said, “India now has to target 25th rank in the global ease of doing business ranking. Innovation, research & development have to be spurred and accelerated along with unleashing of demographic dividend. With this, India will become a super economic power and the ‘Golden Goose’ again.”
