TPO and PRO Hosts Sessions on Career Opportunities at the Reserve Bank of India

Aligarh : Today, the Training & Placement Office (General) and the Public Relations Office of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) held informative sessions on career opportunities at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) at both Women’s College and the Faculty of Commerce. The sessions featured presentations by Mr. Harsumeet Singh and Ms. Shreya Kumar, Managers at the RBI Regional Office in Kanpur.

Mr. Harsumeet Singh spoke on RBI’s initiatives to increase women’s participation at managerial levels and discussed the diverse roles and career progression opportunities within the organization. Ms. Shreya Kumar provided a detailed overview of the benefits of working at the RBI, including substantial incentives, educational support such as PhD allowances, and a nurturing work environment that encourages employees to excel.

Mr. Saad Hameed, TPO General, extended a welcome to the RBI delegation, while Dr. Suhailia Parveen, Assistant TPO, emphasized the importance of these sessions in supporting students’ career development.

Mr. Omar Peerzada, PRO of AMU, concluded the event by encouraging students to seize the opportunities presented and expressed gratitude to the RBI team, inviting them for future sessions.  The presentations were followed by a lively Q&A session, allowing students to engage directly with the RBI representatives. The session at Women’s College was moderated by Ms. Kisa Zaidi, a BA Economics student.

The RBI team also conducted a session at the Faculty of Commerce, explaining various job and internship opportunities available at the RBI. The session was hosted by Ms. Ayesha Tanveer and Ms. Safura Jahangir, students of MHRM.
