Training and Placement Cell, Univ. Polytechnic Organizes Orientation Program

 

Aligarh : The Training and Placement (T&P) Cell at University Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), hosted its Orientation Program 2024, tailored to enhance career readiness for diploma students. Over 200 students attended the event, aimed at equipping them with insights into job prospects and career growth.

Prof. Arshad Umar, Principal, University Polytechnic in his address,  stressed the importance of combining technical expertise with soft skills for succeeding in today’s job market. Emphasizing adaptability and lifelong learning, he assured students of numerous career opportunities in engineering fields.

Prof. Asiya Chaudhary from AMU’s Department of Commerce encouraged students to consider entrepreneurship as a rewarding career choice. She shared insights on opportunity identification and entrepreneurial thinking, using real-life examples to illustrate how entrepreneurship drives positive change globally.

Prof. Omar Farooq of the Department of Electronics Engineering, AMU, conducted an interactive session on strategic job interview preparation. He advised students to research potential employers thoroughly and highlighted essential etiquette before, during, and after interviews.

Dr. Mohd. Faisal Khan TPO University Polytechnic emphasized on the significance of internships, networking, and skill-building workshops as key tools for career advancement.

The event was hosted by Mr.  Mohd. Umar Rehman, Assistant Professor, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. M. Naved Qureshi, Assistant TPO.
