Training for implementation of FRA continues at Anantnag

Anantnag: District Administration Anantnag today imparted level 4 training to the stakeholders for implementation of Forest Rights Act (FRA)-2006 at Khanabal, Kokernag, Dooru, Mattan and Achabal.

On the occasion, the training was imparted to Sarpanchs, Chairman and Secretary FRC, Panchayat Secretary, 1 Tribal Member and 1 Woman member with regard to implementation of the Forest Rights Act -2006 for Schedule Tribes and Traditional Forest Dwellers in the UT including Anantnag District.

The authorities stressed that the involvement of PRI members with the identification of beneficiaries and implementation of this act will prove fruitful for realisation of its true benefits.

The trainers from the Forest department highlighted various aspects of the Act and explained its various dimensions for smooth implementation in the district.

Meanwhile level 5 training programme for remaining members of the Forest Rights Committee of each Panchayat is scheduled to be held on 13th of January.
