Training held on ‘Advanced NRP Provider Course’
ALIGARH : The Department of Pediatrics, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University organized a one-day training on ‘Advanced NRP Provider Course’ for the first time to train the residents and faculty in advanced skills essential for newborn resuscitation.
The training was conducted by a team of national NRP instructors, including Prof S. Manazir Ali, Dr Ruchira Gupta, Dr Madhu Nayak, Dr Sachin Verma and Dr Brajendra Singh Rajput, led by Prof Lalan Kumar Bharti, National Coordinator and Chair, NNF.
Prof. Mohd. Habib Raza, officiating Dean, Faculty of Medicine and Principal, JNMCH, was the chief guest, while Dr Vikas Mehrotra, President IAP, Aligarh Branch and Prof. Lalan Kumar Bharti were the guests of honour.
Prof. Lalan Kumar Bharti emphasized the need to focus on the “first golden minute” in neonatal resuscitation to help reduce neonatal mortality and morbidity.
Earlier, in her welcome address, the Chairperson, Department of Pediatrics and Course Coordinator, Prof. Zeeba Zaka-ur-Rab, stressed the importance of such training programmes for the smart management of neonatal resuscitation.
The participants were divided into 6 groups and provided ‘hands-on’ training on mannequins.
Dr. Gulnaz Nadri conducted the inaugural function while Dr. Fazil Mohammed Izhar extended a vote of thanks.
