Training on Special Summary Revision held at Kathua

KATHUA : A day long training programme on Special Summary Revision and SVEEP activities for Supervisors and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of Hiranagar Assembly constituency was held today here in the premises of CFC, Hiranagar town today.

A total of 120 officials attended the daylong session.

Interacting with trainees, Deputy District Election Officer, Abhay Gupta explained about the processing of prescribed forms under ongoing Special Summary Revision. He explained that for updating the data forms viz Form VI for register as Elector/Voter , Form VI-B for Information of Adhaar no. by existing electors, Form-VII for objection and self deletion and Form VIII for correction/ shifting of voters name to be filled and process on ERO-NET by respective BLO. He also explained the role of supervisor and BLOs in checking the prerequisites before processing the prescribed forms.

The DDEO said that the ECI has initiated various measures to fine-tune the electoral rolls for which ERO-NET is being used for making error-free voters list, besides lessening the paper work as correct forms filled at the entry level will be accepted through the system.

The participants were explained about various steps involved in the ERO NET including online processing of forms.

Regarding SVEEP activities, the DDEO asked the BLOs concerned to undertake the task of spreading awareness along with the current Special Summary Revision exercise.

During the training session, enrollment process and other relevant queries and doubts raised by the BLOs were also answered by the DDEO.
