Training program held in Baramulla under “UNNATI”

 

BARAMULLA : A training program for MGNREGA workers under “UNNATI” was organised by the Rural Development Department and Panchayat Raj at Dakbanglow Baramulla.

The training program was inagurated by the Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla Aijaz Abdullah Saraf and shall be conducted in two phases by RSETI Sopore and KVK Kunzer.

ADDC also kick started the project “UNNATI” to upgrade the skilled base of MGNREGA workers thereby improve their livelihood to move from 100 days to full year.

During the training session ADDC said that the MGNREGA aims to building sustainable livelihood for the rural households. The main thrust is on providing unskilled manual workers for 100 days to the eligible rural households. In growing economy, it is imperative that MGNREGA workers shift from unskilled manual toward skilled works so that income increases permanently in a significant mannar.

Assistant Commissioner Development, Yaar Ali Khan, Chief Agriculture Officer , Chief Animal Husbandary besides representatives of RSETI,KVK and MGNREGA workers were participated in the training program.
