Lalmandi: The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal today inaugurated one day training program on Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) -2020 here at Agriculture Complex Lalmandi.

Iqbal inaugurated the event, soon after assuming the office as Director Agriculture Kashmir.

Speaking on the occasion, Director Agriculture said that the training program has been conducted to educate the officers and the field functionaries of the department regarding successful implementation of BRAP-2020 for issuing fertilizer/pesticide licences (wholesale/retail) through online mode with effect from 1st January 2021.

Director Agriculture said that the main objective of this program is to activate the concerned officers and fertilizer companies for early implementation of fertilizer training related reforms rolled out by the Government of India. He exhorted upon the concerned officers to achieve cent percent QR code installation, up-gradation of PoS machines to 3.1 version and submission of the list thereof at an earliest.

Earlier, a representative of the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) provided the training support to the participants and the resource person from department Afshan Hussain Zargar presented a detailed powerpoint presentation regarding the operational procedures.

The training program was attended by Joint Director Agriculture Extension Muhammad Muzaffer Hurra, Joint Director Agriculture Engineering Mohammad Ilyas Khatib, Deputy Director Agriculture Central and Plant Protection Officer Kashmir besides others concerned.
