Kulgam: A day long training programme for the Village Level Child Protection Committee was held here at Kilam today.
The programme was organized by ICPS Kulgam, in collaboration with UNICEF and the programme is scheduled to continue for five days at different locations in block Devsar and Pahaloo.
The training programme was attended by VLW’s, Sarpanchs, Students, teachers, anganwadi workers, Aasha workers, Numbardars, Chowkidars and other members.
During the day-long programme, the participants were sensitised about child rights, Juvenile Justice Act -2015 and POCSO Act- 2012 besides the role and responsibilities of these members was also highlighted by the concerned officers.
The concerned officers of ICPS also informed that the department will continue the sensitisation programme at different villages of block Devsar and Pahaloo during which as many as 250 participants will be sensitized about child rights, juvenile justice Act- 2015 and POCSO Act- 2012.
Among others, Principal Degree College Kilam, Chairperson CWC, JJB members, ICPS officials and other dignitaries of college were present on the occasion.
