Training Workshop on Skill Development for Youth Employability and Entrepreneurship

New Delhi: A training workshop on Skill Development for Youth Employability and Entrepreneurship is being conducted by V.V Giri National Labour Institute, Noida an autonomous Institute of Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India in Collaboration with Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Development Studies at NCDS, Bhubaneswar. The programme aims to acquaint the young participants from different universities with the knowledge, importance and prospects of skill development in enhancing employability and entrepreneurship of youth. After completion of master degree course they are supposed to take up different career options and this programme will enrich their understanding of skill development, enhance their capabilities and enable them to play larger role for the skill development of youth of the nation.

The Programme was inaugurated by Shri Niranjan Sahu,I.A.S, Labour Commissioner, Odisha and RDC designate. Professor Srijit Mishra, Director, NCDS was present on the occasion. P.Amitav Khutntia, Associate Fellow and Course Director of V.V.Giri National Labour Institute gave the overview of the programme and Dr.Rashmi Mishra, Programme Coordinator from NCDS welcomed the guests and participants. Thirtyfive master degree students for different Universities and Colleges of Odisha namely: Berhampur University, B.J.B Autonomous College, Central University of Odisha ,Koraput, Revenshaw University, Sambalpur University, NISWASS, North Odisha University, Utkal University, Vikram Dev Autonomou College are participating in this programme.
