Tributes paid to Dr. B.R.Ambedkar at Model Higher Secondary School Sawjian

POONCH : The Model Higher Secondary School Sawjian today paid tributes to Dr B.R Ambedkar Jayanti or Bhim Jayanti on his birth anniversary.

The students and staff paid tribute to Dr. Ambedkar and highlighted his contribution towards Indian society.

The principal described Dr Ambedkar as one of the most prominent social reformers of India. “He is known for his fight against the social evil of untouchability and the inequality posed by the caste system in India” he told the students.

The students who expressed their views included Sumaria Tabbasum, Tabeer Shah,Tariq Iqbal, Zainab Fatima , Nazia Koser and Sabir Javed. Prizes were distributed among the students by school.

The proceedings of the program were conducted by Saleem Jahangir Reshi.

Others who spoke included Abdul Ghani, Arif Malik, Sarfraz Ahmed, Munir Hussain and Mohd Shafi.
