Trinity College Dublin: Nebula Astro Camp with I-LOFAR

The AstroLands Team at I-LOFAR are delighted to be bringing our online Astro Camps back for Easter 2021. Over three days we will explore the Universe, learn what’s so special about our Sun, investigate Black Holes and more – all coming to a computer screen near you!

We will dive into astronomy with talks, virtual tours and hands-on activities – journey out into deep space, and learn more about the astrophysics done closer to home with visits to key locations around Ireland, from historical to active research observatories.

Each participant will be sent a information pack with materials for the week. Group numbers are limited to ensure a immersive, interactive experience for all participants.

Our Nebula Astro Camp for ages 10 – 12 (Primary School students who are in 5th or 6th class) will run over the Easter Break on three consecutive days from Monday to Wednesday (29th – 31st March), 10:00 to 13:00 each day (3 hours). All sessions will run online in a closed Microsoft Teams group.

Access to a computer and internet is required in order to participate in this camp experience. Microsoft Teams will be used each day for live talks, workshops and interaction. All web services and applications are free and can be accessed on a phone, tablet, or computer.
