Trinity College Dublin: Student Partnership Agreement Policy signed
Trinity’s Student Partnership Agreement Policy was signed this week. The Partnership Agreement reinforces the joint commitment of the University and TCD Students’ Union (TCDSU) to developing and supporting effective student partnership, engagement, and representation.
Its purpose is to present the work being done to improve the student experience in partnership between Trinity and TCDSU, and to show students how they can get involved in that activity. The project working group was chaired by Professor Catherine McCabe, the Dean of Students.
The policy was signed by the Provost, Dr Linda Doyle, the Vice-Provost/Chief Academic Officer, Professor Orla Sheils, TCDSU President, Leah Keogh and TCDSU Education Officer, Bev Genockey.
Commenting on its importance, the Vice-Provost/Chief Academic Officer, who is the project’s primary academic sponsor, and the SU Education Officer as student champion said that they believe that this Partnership Agreement is an important statement of their commitment to continued efforts in developing as a University community, within which both staff and students have roles and functions to perform, and where both staff and students have rights and responsibilities. The project is designed to promote and encourage the engagement and contributions of students during their time at the University.
