Tsinghua University Hosts MIT Vice Provost Brent Ryan for High-Level Discussions
On June 18, Brent Ryan, Vice Provost of MIT, and his delegation visited Tsinghua University. Yang Bin, Vice President of Tsinghua University, met with the guests in the I-shaped Hall. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on further strengthening the cooperation between the two universities.
Yang Bin welcomed the visit of Brent Ryan and his delegation, and introduced the latest progress of Tsinghua University in discipline construction, talent training, overseas base expansion, etc. He said that the cooperation between Tsinghua University and MIT has a long history, and there is a solid cooperation foundation in multiple disciplines, and teachers and students have close interaction and communication. He hopes that both sides will continue to play their respective advantages, actively explore areas of exchange and mutual learning, and strengthen academic and cultural exchanges between young students.
Brent Ryan expressed his appreciation for the achievements made by Tsinghua University in recent years in student training, curriculum development and project management, and introduced the recent development of MIT. He said that Tsinghua University is an important partner of MIT, and he looks forward to the joint efforts of both sides to continue to expand cooperation in talent training and academic research, and promote the continuous progress of the cooperative relationship.
Heads of relevant units such as the School of Architecture and the International Affairs Office attended the meeting.
