Tsinghua University Welcomes Queen Mary University President Colin Bailey
On June 27, Colin Bailey, President of Queen Mary University of London, and Wang Wen, Vice President, visited Tsinghua University. Peng Gang, Vice President of Tsinghua University, met with the guests in the I-shaped Hall and the two sides held talks on further strengthening cooperation.
Peng Gang welcomed Colin Bailey and his delegation and introduced Tsinghua University’s development and innovative practices in online education and AI-enabled higher education. He said that the two universities have common interests and goals in the field of artificial intelligence, which has laid a solid foundation for cooperation between the two sides. He expects the two universities to carry out more in-depth cooperation in the fields of education and teaching, scientific research innovation, talent training, etc., and jointly promote technological innovation and academic progress in higher education.
Colin Bailey praised Tsinghua University’s achievements in educational innovation and artificial intelligence applications, and shared Queen Mary University of London’s experience and achievements in related fields. He said that the two universities have great potential for cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence empowering higher education, and he looks forward to the two sides working together to promote the innovation and development of higher education technology.
The two sides had in-depth exchanges and discussions on cooperation in the fields of digital education and online education based on the World MOOC and Online Education Alliance.
