Tsinghua University’s School of Social Sciences Conducts Meeting for Associate Professor Li Hongjun’s Party Admission
On the afternoon of May 30th, the Party Branch of the Institute of Economics of the School of Social Sciences held a party development meeting for Associate Professor Li Hongjun in Room 247 of Mingzhai. After full discussion and voting by the branch members, they unanimously agreed to accept Li Hongjun as a probationary member of the Communist Party of China. Li Hongjun’s school-level contact for joining the party, Zhang Xiaoping, director of the Information Office, Zhang Wanyun, a full-time organizer of the Organization Department, and Ouyang Qin, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Social Sciences, attended the development meeting. The meeting was chaired by Li Bangxi, secretary of the Party Branch of the Institute of Economics.
At the development meeting, Li Hongjun reported on his mental journey of applying to join the Party, introduced his growth experience, theoretical learning and understanding of the Party. He said that with the care and help of the Party Committee of the College, the Party Branch of the Institute of Economics and the school’s young teachers’ backbone pilot workstation, he has a clearer understanding of the important role of the Communist Party of China in the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and a deeper understanding of the important responsibilities as a young teacher, and has strengthened his determination to join the Communist Party of China.
As the party introducers, Li Bangxi and Rong Ke, a professor at the Institute of Economics , respectively introduced Li Hongjun ‘s training and overall performance, and expressed their opinions on whether he met the criteria for party membership. The branch committee reported on the inspection and review.
The party members present fully expressed their opinions on developing Li Hongjun into the party organization and put forward hopes and suggestions. They hoped that after joining the party organization, Li Hongjun would be able to hold himself to higher standards and continue to make greater progress.
After full discussion and secret ballot by branch members, they unanimously agreed to accept Li Hongjun as a probationary member of the Communist Party of China.
Ouyang Qin and Zhang Wanyun congratulated Li Hongjun on his glorious joining of the Party organization. They hoped that he would further deepen his study of the Party’s history and innovative theories in his future work, actively play a leading role in moral education, academic innovation, public services, etc., and strive to be “both red and professional” and become an outstanding teacher Party member.
Zhang Xiaoping fully affirmed Li Hongjun’s exploration and achievements in teaching and scientific research, and hoped that he would take this as a new starting point, based on his personal work position, always remember his original mission, hold himself to higher standards, and contribute to the party’s education cause.
Li Hongjun, male, Han nationality, was born in 1982. He is currently an associate professor at the Institute of Economics, School of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Tsinghua University and Peking University respectively, and received his Ph.D. in economics from Texas A&M University in 2014.
