TSoM hosts successful Virtual Open Day for 2,000 international students
Toronto: Toronto School of Management (TSoM) hosted an innovative two-day Virtual Open Day over Thursday 25 and Friday 26 June.
About 2,000 prospective students from around the world registered for the events to get the opportunity to learn about what TSoM has to offer. Faculty and staff were on hand to guide participants through the institution’s programs, admissions process and career services.
The team of experts from TSoM took advantage of the online platform to illustrate the learning opportunities and resources available. Over the two days, prospective students had the possibility to take part in dedicated sessions for specific programmes including Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, Business and Hospitality.
Further information was also provided for the Preparatory Course for ACCA Examination, which TSoM offers as a recognized Gold ACCA Learning Partner by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Throughout the Virtual Open Day, students also benefitted from sessions focusing on the admissions process, accommodation solutions, student support and the study permit application. These were conducted by TSoM staff and expert consultants, providing detailed information and guidance.
The audience also had the opportunity to meet and chat with current students enrolled in a wide range of programs, representing TSoM’s diverse student body with participants from Albania, Brazil, Mexico, India, Philippines, Jordan and Mauritius. The ‘Meet our Current Students’ sessions featured learners who shared their journey to Canada, reasons they chose TSoM, tips on living and studying in Toronto and their job search process.
Ehsan Safdari, Managing Director of TSoM, said: “During the COVID-19 emergency, we focused on supporting our students to ensure they could continue their studies. With this event, we wanted to dedicate the same attention to prospective students and to show them how they can still pursue their education and career paths with TSoM.”
