Two-dayWorkshop on HRM held

 

Aligarh : The Department of Commerce at Aligarh Muslim University hosted a two-day Workshop on Human Resource Management titled “Connecting Minds, Inspiring Future.” The event, organised by students pursuing Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM), aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry, providing a platform for insightful discussions on HR practices.

In the inaugural session, Professor M. Nasir Zamir Qureshi, the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, emphasised the workshop’s pivotal role in fostering a deeper understanding of HR dynamics among students. Professor S.M. Imamul Haque, Chairman of the Department, highlighted the workshop’s relevance in shaping future HR leaders.

Professor Nawab Ali Khan, the Training and Placement Officer (TPO) for MHRM, underscored the practical insights gained by students through workshops.

On the first day, Mr. Areeb Akhlaq, Talent Acquisition Manager at IMCS Group, conducted a workshop on LinkedIn Deep Dive, focusing on job search techniques, recruitment strategies, and networking on LinkedIn.

The second day featured a session on Understanding Human Resource Management led by Mr. Syed Mohd. Zakiullah, Associate Director (HR & Admin) at IMCS Group. The session covered HR practices, the scope of HR, necessary skills, performance management, payroll management, legal and compliance.

A diverse group of students from different departments participated, gaining a unique opportunity to learn, network, and explore various facets of the HR landscape.
