Two more Covid-19 +ve Patients Discharged from JNMCH

Aligarh: Two more Covid-19 patients recovered fully at the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital (JNMCH), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). They were discharged from the Isolation ward of the Medical College amid cheers.

A 34 year old woman was treated by Prof Z Ahmad and Dr Ummatul Baneen, while the other patient, a 45 year old Man was treated by a panel of doctors comprising Prof FS Haque, Dr M Aslam, and Dr Owais Ashraf.

AMU Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor lauded the efforts of doctors and other health workers and expressed satisfaction over the treatment given to the patients.

“Overall, 14 patients have been discharged so far after recovering from corona virus”, said Prof Shahid Ali Siddiqui (Principal, JNMC).

The doctors and health workers cheered the recovered patients.

According to Dr Abdul Waris, Deputy Medical Superintendent, now 16 patients are admitted in the Isolation ward of JNMCH, an L-2 Covid Hospital.

The university has been conducting Covid-19 tests free of cost and yesterday 350 tests were conducted. The university has conducted 10208 tests so far on the samples received from Aligarh, Mathura, Noida, Agra, Hathras, Bulandshahar, Moradabad, Rampur, Kasganj and Etah, out of which 232 tested positive, said Prof Professor Haris M Khan, Nodal Officer and Chairman, Department of Microbiology, JNMCH, AMU.
