Two-week training programme
ALIGARH : The Department of Petroleum Studies, Aligarh Muslim University, in collaboration with the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), is organizing a two-week online industrial and professional training programme on NDT Radiography Testing, which began here yesterday.
Addressing the inaugural session, the Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Prof. M Altamash Siddiqui said that NDT Radiography Testing is highly relevant to various fields like manufacturing industries, automotive industries, offshore industries, chemical and petrochemical industries, power-generation industries, transport industries, waste management, marine industries, aerospace industries, military defence, etc.
Principal, Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, AMU, Prof M M Sufyan Beg said that industrial training will help bridge the gap between academics and industry.
Earlier, welcoming the guests, programme convener and Chairman, Department of Petroleum Studies, Dr M Kamil highlighted the salient features of the training programme.
Co-convener of the programme, Mr Khalid Shakil (Chief Manager, Technology, NSIC Neemka, Faridabad) briefly introduced NSIC and Radiographic Testing. He also introduced the resource person, Mr Haider Ali Khan who is an expert in the field of Radiographic Testing having a Level III certificate of NDT from Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.
Dr Moina Athar (Associate Professor) and Mr Abdul Jabbar (Workshop Superintendent, ZHCET) were the Co-coordinators.
